President Trump and RFK coming together was one of the most important political events of our lifetimes. They laid explained the dire urgency of the childhood chronic diseases crisis and laid out a plan to reverse it: (1) Get the corporate capture out of institution (2) Return the NIH to science. (3) Follow that science to reverse the chronic disease crisis. For food, we should have a process for post market review of GRAS and follow that data. For pharmaceuticals and vaccines, we should have a torrent of reproducibility studies and open source existing data. We should then urgently use this science to adjust guidelines accordingly. This is the strategy outlined during the campaign - and it is the way to achieve lasting change. People jumping to go behind the campaign framework or saying we should be jumping to ban everything we don’t like are at best politically naive and at worst trying to subvert the generational opportunity ahead of us.
