We sent a full press release and media invite for our upcoming LGB Interrupted conference to every major Irish media outlet. Even after follow-ups and direct contact with individual journalists, they refuse to so much as acknowledge us. We’re a self-funded group of lesbians, gays, and bisexuals in our 20s and 30s —bringing together the lesbian founders of Not All Gays, @AllianceLGB, and @againstgrmrs, alongside LGB voices and women’s rights advocates from around the world. Over the past three weeks, the Irish media has churned out article after article, letters and opinion pieces—condemning the UK Supreme Court ruling in full voice. Yet not a single word on the actual protections it reaffirmed: women’s sex-based rights and rights of same-sex attracted people. They’re always ready to platform ‘LGBTQ’ events—so long as they’re NGO-backed and ideologically compliant. But when the wrong kind of gays speak up, they vanish. We don't fit their idea of performative allyship quite right. If the media won’t report the truth, it’s up to us to make them hear it. Share this, speak up, and don’t let them silence us. #LGBInterrupted #NotAllGays #WomenRights
