How can anyone defend housing male rapists in women’s prisons? Rep. @lateefahsimon gives it a shot: ✅ Deflection ✅ Condescension ✅ Word salad: “What we will NOT do as a community is NOT honor victims, but what we’re NOT also gonna NOT do is throw all transgender people under the bus.” She then implies advocates for women’s sex-based rights are using "women as a proxy for their bigotry." At the end, she claims to protect incarcerated women “at all costs,” but we just watched her abandon them when they needed her most. CA Voters take action b/c our lawmakers clearly need to feel the pressure: Support SB311 to remove all male sex offenders from women's prisons.
