A new variant, NB.1.8.1, tops collection 42 with 90% weekly advantage. It quickly grows from 0 to nearly 100% in Hong Kong in the past two months. https://cov-spectrum.org/collections/42 NB.1.8.1 is evolved from NB.1. It mimics the spike of XEC on a different backbone(XDV) and adds some more.
