just checked. Of transmen (n=26k), 71% reported not being on testosterone. Of transwomen (n=13k), 48% said they weren't on estrogen. Most of my sample is young, avg age ~22. This makes me think actual transition* is much less common than identification, particularly for females

@wesyang i think a similar effect is going on with e.g. a surge of women identifying as bisexual, right around the time this started to get normalized. I'm gonna check my data to see what % of ppl are on hormones, which might be good proxy for 'taking it seriously'
