Because it’s not aimed at Israel. It’s aimed at voters he considers part of his base here regardless the harm it does to any potential deal, relations with Israel and other allies, and the ability to get hostages home. That’s why you see the squad celebrating tonight. You can’t claim they are the fringe of the party when they are dictating the admin’s foreign policy.
