So while more institutional antisemitism has been coming from the left, that doesn't mean there hasn't been a toxic rise and normalization of it on the right. The attempt to normalize the neo-Nazi/groyper crowd and frame that as just opposition to Israel has been particularly revealing. Especially since the leaders of that crowd (ex: Fuentes) were pretty transparent that they are only pretending to care about Palestinians because they see it as an effective way to attack Jews. A lot of this has been hidden in the shadows for years, but there is now a financial and attention incentive to bring it more mainstream. There are lots of different motives, but the pattern is rather consistent. And they've adopted a tactic of going after and trying to bully particular figures on the right at various times to try to silence others from speaking out against it. In the last week, there has been one particular writer who has been attacking various good people who used to be colleagues in order to gain attention and advance his new obsession. He is framing himself as a truth-teller (as all these conspiracy-obsessed weirdos tend to do), but won't even tell his audience what really has been driving his latest meltdown. Instead of getting professional help for his personal issues, he is taking it out on former colleagues and entire religious group. But much worse are the people who are jumping on that bandwagon because they see it as an opportunity to try to bully others into silence.
