This Bezos op-ed is so good that I am making an exception to my ban on linking WaPo. This is stuff I have been arguing for years. - Mainstream press has lost much of its credibility due to bias. - They are increasingly becoming irrelevant and only talking to people who agree with them (which hurts them financially too) - This shift is bad for society because it undermines shared facts/realities. - It will take significant effort by news organizations to change this direction and will require them to actively reject the activists in their newsrooms who pushed the current direction. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/10/28/jeff-bezos-washington-post-trust/
