So the reason they don’t get quoted more is because the facts they share directly undermine the idea that Israel is blocking aid. Gaza receives a ton of aid. So what drives the disconnect between clear evidence that lots of aid is getting into Gaza and real complaints that it isn’t getting to Palestinians who need it? Distribution issues, particularly in northern Gaza. Israel lets the aid in, then it sits there until certain pick it up to distribute. There are areas in northern Gaza (where there are only ~75K people left) where there is active fighting and thus restrictions on travel. Everywhere else the issue for much of the war has been that much of the aid would end up in the hands of certain Hamas affiliates which would sell it to Palestinians at a huge profit. So obviously those who couldn’t afford it would struggle. What has been happening more recently is there are at least two major non-Hamas clans which are charging bribes for aid trucks to go through areas they control or taking the aid. The UN keeps complaining about this happening but they also refuse to allow Israel to provide direct security. They claim that doing so would violate their neutrality (???) but then blame israel for others hijacking the aid. All of these are real issues without easy answers, but that’s inconvenient to the preferred anti-Israel narrative. Much harder to claim that Israel is committing “genocide” by withholding aid when it’s obvious aid is getting into Gaza and is only not reaching Palestinians who need it in most cases because of failures of international groups and efforts by Hamas and various Palestinian clans to profit from the aid. https://bird.makeup/@claire_v0ltaire/1873938544756220267
