When given the choice of taking an aggressive stance to apply maximum pressure on the world’s chief sponsor of terrorism (as Trump did in his first term) or try to appease them (Ben Rhodes approach), Tucker knows most on the right would choose the former. So instead he tries to reframe the argument so that the only options are war/sending troops or appeasement (which he tries to spin as focusing on domestic issues). And anyone who wants to take a hard stance on the Islamic Republic is just labeled a neocon who wants war. Of course Tucker also wants to be soft on China, which is helping drive the fentanyl into the US so that doesn’t really seem to be his focus either but just a deflection.

Tucker Carlson apparently thinks we are going to invade Iran. Haven’t seen anyone propose that and there is literally no reason to do it. Iran is easily contained by other means once we decide to do it.
