They view their ability to torture these hostages as a demonstration of strength. The West just doesn’t understand who we are dealing with. Plus, they know they will get support from college campuses and newsrooms regardless what they do. H-mas could release a video of them murdering a baby and the Columbia crowd would explain it’s a justified response to alleged oppression, then stage a walkout in support of them.
