Notice it doesn’t stop with just one adversary. It wasn’t just “we should appease Russia” because they have nukes. It then became China is too powerful so appease them too, and now apparently we have to appease Iran and The Houthis too because standing up to severely weakened Islamists who have been regularly murdering Americans, causing chaos via terror proxies, and even plotting assassination in America is just too risky.
