Since the start of the war, the UN has refused to allow the IDF to provide security for aid because much of it was knowingly being diverted to Hamas, which then would take some and distribute the rest to be sold to Palestinians to fund their activities. It’s been the primary source of funding for Hamas throughout the war and everyone knew it. The refusal to prioritize getting aid to Palestinians over maintaining a way to allow Hamas to steal and benefit from it speaks volumes about the priorities of these groups. The UN should be fully defunded and cut from the conversation. A new foundation should be built based on those who care about protecting Palestinians, not just maintaining a lifeline for Hamas

The UN & aid organizations operating in Gaza announced they would not cooperate with an Israeli-U.S. plan to establish a new mechanism for aid delivery to Palestinians in the enclave because it "contravenes humanitarian principles".
