Almost every country fighting an insurgent style enemy in a war has restricted journalists to those embedded with military units in combat zones. The only place anyone pretends its due to something nefarious is Gaza. The reasons for this are obvious. 1) They can’t guarantee the safety of the journalists in areas with active fighting 2) It puts troops in danger because terrorists will 100% try to use those journalists for cover and to launch attacks. Specific to Gaza: Hamas is known for taking hostages. Why would Israel want them to get more leverage? And finally; Hamas does not tolerate negative press. Local journalists who report anything they don’t like are regularly beaten and killed. I know Paul doesn’t care about Palestinians killed by Hamas, but there are plenty of examples. What do you think will happen to foreign journalists? The most likely answer is Hamas will kill them and then blame it on Israel. Then people like Paul will eagerly rush to repeat those claims. So why would Israel risk all of that just to appease someone, like Paul, who is interested in lying about them anyways?

Why won't Israel allow international journalists into Gaza?
