Someone explain this to me…. California keeps asking the federal government to bail them out because they’ve been fiscally irresponsible. A part of that irresponsibility has been state government spending on illegal immigrants (ex 8.4 billion to cover Medical expansion). Yet the same leadership asking for those bailouts brags about their refusal to support enforcement of immigration laws and continued status as a sanctuary state. Why wouldn’t the federal government require that any financial bailout for the state be contingent on them ending their sanctuary status and the policies that drove their need for it?
