It's increasingly difficult not to conclude that Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom are more interested in preventing any enforcement of immigration laws than protecting their citizens from violent mobs. They should be asking for federal help instead of pretending this is acceptable.

I would take the outrage regarding Trump wanting to use the national guard more seriously if the people expressing it weren't downplaying and justifying the rioting and violence. If LA and California leaders don't want the feds involved, why don't they do something about this?
