Everyone knows this is all performative. What is security supposed to do when a random man interrupts a live press conference while aggressively yelling at a cabinet member? How is anyone supposed to know that it was just a Senator attempting a stunt for publicity instead of a real threat? After they realized he was a US Senator, he was released and met with Noem privately to discuss the concerns he had. Which he could have done in the first place.
