The reason The Islamic Republic now has limited response options is that Israel took out their main terror proxies (not inc Iraq militias) and then spent the last week defanging their military and dwindling their ballistic missile supply (destroying stockpiles, launchers, and drawing their fire). Israel made the cost-benefit analysis a lot simpler for Trump. That’s why it’s important to have allies that can carry their own weight.
