Most people in the industry are a joke. Fragmented heap allocations and indirections all over the place, much less any capability to turn this into an efficient AoSoA. This is how you write code 100x slower than what the hardware can handle.

I’d approve this raw pointer in a C++ review. the parent owns its children. the parent link is borrowed, with the parent required to outlive the child. the ownership model matters more than making every pointer smart.
