Today is Yom HaZikaron in Israel. As Hamas attempts to get itself deproscribed in the UK, we remember the victims of its terror attacks, including some 1,200 people who were murdered on 7th October 2023, in what has been described as the deadliest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. The attack on 7th October was the culmination of four decades of brutal and bloody terrorism carried out by Hamas, which was only one of numerous antisemitic terror groups to murder as many Jewish people as they could in these years and before. Over the decades, Hamas has made its genocidal objective of eradicating Jews clear. The Home Secretary must reject Hamas’ ludicrous and insulting application for deproscription and take a decisive stand against antisemitic terror. That is the least that we can do to honour the memory of the victims.
