Firstly, I often mention that this data is very incomplete, particularly in more recent weeks. I figured I should elaborate. This is weekly excess mortality in the last 4 updates. Just since the October update, 2,435 deaths were added to 2023 in weeks included in both reports.

Chart showing weekly provisional excess mortality in Canada according to the 4 most recent reports (August 10th, September 14th, October 12th, November 9th) from March 1st, 2020 to July 15th, 2023. The lines are fairly identical until late 2022. Generally, more recent reports have slightly lower values than prior reports in late 2022 and significantly higher values than prior reports in 2023 for weeks included in several reports. More recent reports also contain data for more recent weeks.
