Ultimately the question of the Church's direction will be decided by a simple question: who is catechizing more faithful children, making more converts, and discovering more vocations: the traditionalists or the liberals? As far as I can tell the answer is the traditionalists, by a wide margin. Eventually that fundamental structural fact will overwhelm any administrative maneuvering.
