They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This one is worth tens of thousands. That’s how many tons of humanitarian aid facilitated by Israel for the civilian population of Gaza that Hamas is preventing being delivered to the people - in addition to the humanitarian supplies they have already stolen. As I write, over 1,000 truckloads of humanitarian aid, medical equipment, food, and crucial supplies have been rotting in the sun on the Palestinian side of the Kerem Shalom Crossing, waiting for weeks and weeks to be distributed throughout the Gaza Strip. We urge our colleagues in the international community: Don’t let Hamas starve its own people. Act now to ensure this huge quantity of essential aid reaches the civilians in Gaza. Whilst doing all we can to bring our hostages home, Israel remains committed to doing everything possible to assist the civilian population of Gaza.
