Shiri, her husband Yarden, and their two small boys, Ariel and Kfir, were taken hostage on October 7. The children have now been confirmed dead, murdered in captivity. Shiri's parents, Yossi and Margit Silverman, were murdered that day. Their bodies were found three weeks later in the remnants of their home, which had been set aflame and reduced to ash, along with that of the family dog.
