The response to No Other Land’s Oscar win has been both predictable and telling. The sheer number of “pro-Palestine” activists who have heaped scorn on the Israeli co-director of this deeply controversial film—a blistering critic of Israel who accused the country of “ethnic supremacy” in his acceptance speech and has himself been accused of aiding and abetting antisemitism—should make it very clear: For all too many, there’s simply no such thing as a “good” Israeli Jew.
