On the eve of October 7, the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research conducted a survey asking Palestinians if they wanted to leave Gaza 31% of Palestinians said they wanted to leave Gaza. And that was before Hamas started a war that brought devastation to Gaza. The reasons they wanted to leave – seeking better economic opportunities, education, security, or to escape corruption in Gaza. Palestinians want to leave Gaza. President Trump has suggested they should be allowed to. Yet the world reacts with outrage, insisting it’s an offense to even suggest the notion.
