#BREAKING: A note bearing the name and ID number of hostage Matan Zangauker was discovered in a tunnel in Gaza and given to his mother, Einav, who immediately recognized his handwriting. Written in English, Hebrew, and Arabic, the note described Matan’s medical condition at the time as “good” and identified him as a “farmer” in Arabic. According to the report, Matan, 24, was fluent in all three languages before his capture. His mother confirmed the handwriting was his. Soldiers also reportedly found bottles containing his DNA alongside the note, in a tunnel where other hostages had been murdered. The identities of those hostages were not disclosed.
