Earlier today, two rockets were launched from Syria into Israel's Golan Heights - the first such incident since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime. In response, the IDF conducted artillery strikes on the launch site ~12 km from the Israeli border and carried out airstrikes targeting Syrian military assets in southern Syria. Israel's Defense Minister says he holds Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa directly responsible for the attack and warning that Israel would not tolerate a return to the security situation prior to October 7.
