Russia may be preparing to test its nuclear-powered Burevestnik cruise missile at the Pankovo test range on Novaya Zemlya. On August 17, an A-50U and, between August 12 and 14, an Il-976 SKIP arrived at Rogachevo Air Base. On August 20, the A-50U from Rogachevo Air Base conducted a long-duration patrol flight over the Arctic.
