Is someone in procurement reviewing the F35 contract in detail? I can't imagine there are no grounds that can be found for canceling a contract from an enemy who has declared war upon us 🇨🇦 War alone, economic or otherwise, should justify Force majeure if nothing else

Sovereignty in the Skies: Why Canada Must Prioritize the Gripen Over Hostile American Deals - Canada has reached a critical geopolitical crossroads, and our leadership is finally recognizing that we cannot rush vital defense acquisitions while our closest neighbor behaves so unpredictably. With an economic war levied against our nation, the American administration has proven itself to be a completely unreliable country. Also, it is entirely logical that Canada’s defense minister announced a deliberate, measured approach to finalizing our next fighter jet fleet. Deservedly so: True Canadian freedom requires autonomous decisions regarding our national sovereignty. Rather than blindly capitulating to a massive deal for the American F-35, we MUST pivot toward the Saab Gripen as the undisputed mainstay of our air force. The Gripen should serve as our primary defender, symbolizing absolute independence in our skies. If we do maintain any F-35 assets, they must function strictly as secondary backups—essentially parked in the driveway for emergency contingencies if need be, but secondary nonetheless. A total commitment to the F-35 no longer aligns with our shifting diplomatic reality and American hostility, especially since the U.S. has unilaterally altered the rules of engagement. Exercising strategic patience allows us to observe this volatile administration navigate its own self-inflicted damage, reinforcing the fact that Canada MUST stand firmly on its own feet.
