Before puberty, natal boys are a bit stronger and faster than natal girls, but not by too much. After puberty hits, this difference expands dramatically. At that age, the stakes start to rise, should scholarships and college recruiting be a factor. A big question, which I gather is being studied, is whether undergoing gender transition treatment that begins in early puberty erases this margin entirely or only partly.
