I'm of the view that we were right to walk away from negotiations and that we have to impose counter tariffs. But there are legitimate and good reasons to disagree with these positions and good arguments against, especially I think on the cost to Canadians of imposing counter tariffs that increase costs for Canadians at a time when they are already struggling. We should be able to have these debates seriously and honestly and not get name calling and accusing anyone who disagrees of disloyalty. There are absolutely people out there who are choosing to side with a foreign president attacking us, but that is not the same as legitimate disagreement over negotiations or counter tariffs.
