Why do we oppose the puberty blockers trial with every fiber of our being? * Because tampering with the endocrine system and derailing the development of a physically healthy child is child abuse; * Because we already have plenty of evidence that puberty blockers cause harm. The only evidence of “benefit” is a) proof that puberty blockers do indeed block puberty; and b) that some children who have taken them say it makes them happier to look like the opposite sex; * Because the Data Linkage Study would supply at least some data on longer-term outcomes. That should clearly take priority; * Because in many cases - like Susie Green here 👇and others such as the mother of Kai Shappley, these are children who would grow up to be LGB - and they are growing up in homophobic surroundings where it is currently more acceptable to be “trans” than lesbian or gay; * Because the only reasons cited in favour of the trial are that X, Y and Z support it. That is not the way to decide on the ethics of a medical experiment. There is zero understanding of the degree of ideological capture involved in this issue or of the cowardice of those who capitulate to emotional blackmail; * Because the proposed trial will teach us nothing that we don’t already know. There are many reasons to oppose this trial. But mainly we oppose it because it will harm yet more children. Because blocking the puberty of physically healthy children is child abuse.

Susie Green talked about her husband not wanting a gay son. They transed him. How many Susie Greens of the world will be pushing their gay children into the UK’s dangerous puberty blocker trial from hell? #StopTheTrial @YvetteCooperMP
