What’s happening now is what should have happened on October 8th, 2023. The U.S. and international community should have said: You will not release some of the hostages in phases. Their release is not conditional upon anything. You will release all of them. Now. And after, if you would like even a penny of our aid, you willbanish Hamas from your midst, you will accept that you are not refugees, you will surrender, and you will agree to govern yourselves in part of the land, once for all, with no capability to wage war for the foreseeable future. Failure to accept these terms will mean, yes, hell to pay.
