When I was growing up, Finland was an admirable country. Politically neither in the West nor in the East. Trading with all and prosperous. Supporting decolonization in the world and peace in Europe. It is not for nothing that the founding meeting of the Conference on Security and Cooperatuon in Europe took place in Helsinki. I remember how excited I was when I first saw the sparkling white Finlandia palace where it happened. And now--
