It’s not their land. They were not ethnically cleansed from it and exaggerating what happened in 1948 does not make it true. Here is the truth. Britain promised the same land that used to be Judea to two people, Israel and Palestinians. Tensions rose. Palestinians, encouraged by nearby Arab countries, started a war in 1948 and lost badly because Israel was secretly gathering arms because they expected to be attacked. Caught in a war zone, some Palestinians left their homes. The Arab descendants of the ones that didn’t take up arms and try to violently kill their Jewish neighbors still live in Israel today. They are actually 21.1% of the population. All of this is just true. You can exaggerate every single part of the history, and morally frontload it, but it does not change what actually happened.
