I am against trans women participating in sports where male puberty could convey an advantage, because I think it creates a lot of animosity and statistically benefits almost no one. But this has been one of the ugliest, most transphobic weeks on Twitter ever. And it’s Twitter, the worldwide stadium of transphobia. The @BostonGlobe showed its ass. JK Rowling reached new heights of showing her ass. Everyone lost their Goddamn mind. This entire conversation deserves a more serious public policy discussion than any of these actors seem capable of.
