As Trump takes office, I'm going to be doing a weekly show with @bariweiss and my dear friend @bungarsargon for @TheFP. It's a real discussion between the Right and the Left, rooted in respect and a genuine search for a way forward. The Democratic Party is in taters. Unwilling for face reality, we've become obsessed with sillier and sillier ideas and the American people know it. Are we willing to do the hard work and change? And the Right just got everything it ever wanted, but none of the character flaws and unseriousness of Trump 1.0 have been resolved. What happens when the working class coalition that elected Trump runs headfirst into policies that help the richest Americans at the expense of the poorest? Nothing is off limits.
