Calling out the extremes in the trans movement reminds me of the first people to admit Iraq was a disaster. John Murtha, a Marine’s Marine, shocked everyone when he called for pulling out in 2005. Andrew Bacevich, a conservative, called the war a “colossal failure from the start.” There’s a saying in DC. You never want to be the first to tell the truth. They got slammed for it, but they were right, and eventually, people came around. It’s not betrayal to speak up - it’s how we stop doubling down on mistakes.
