I lost a long-term trans friend last night because she's angry at my position transsexuals should not be conflated with non-binary. This is someone quite rich. She could fund a PAC tomorrow advocating for her vision of trans rights, and I've suggested people to run it for her. She could be vocal publicly, she could write a giant check to trans organizations - but she chooses to do nothing. Her activism has always been instructing me what to say. And she's hardly the only trans person to do this. I don't think I'm right on everything. My positions evolve all the time. But at least I'm doing something.
