I’ve seen 1000 stories about what happened in Gaza after October 7th. For my upcoming trip, I want to show what happened to Israel. I want to talk soldiers barely out of their teens that found themselves on the frontlines. I want to really find stories and tell them. I remember how much America changed after 9/11, and I strongly suspect there’s lessons to be learned about a country being forced to reenact historical trauma and fight for its survival.
