I know it’s easy for me to say as a non-parent but it’s so clear all this stuff is destructive for children and needs to be banned/severely curtailed. I firmly believe that this explosion of FTMs is related to teen girls spending eight hours a day on Instagram/TikTok with impossible beauty standards. In the 90s, we talked a lot about what skinny models were doing to my generation’s psyche. It’s just so quaint because you look at even Kate Moss in hindsight and she’s SO BENIGN compared to the pixel perfect standards of Insta.
