Progressivism has directly created the detransitioner problem. It has ideologically captured something that should be a medical issue and turned it into politics. Actual transsexuals are shockingly rare. But progressivism has expanded the definition so everyone gets to be trans or it’s oppression. So now that fetishistic cross-dressers, awkward teenage girls, butch lesbians, and a massive number of people with the comorbidity of autism are all saying they are trans, progressivism stops us from applying any kind of medical classification to them. When you can’t ask questions and you’ve built a healthcare system to affirm everyone OF COURSE IT LEADS TO DETRANSITIONERS. This healthcare is extreme by any definition. If you can find another way, that doesn’t involve medical transition, you should take it.
