At the Nova festival yesterday, one of the families of a young woman killed on October 7th put a bench in front of her picture, hoping strangers would sit and reflect on their daughter’s short life. I sat with one of the survivors on that bench. He told me there had been people executed on that very spot, and it bothered him to see how clean the Nova festival site was. As if all the horror had been erased. I mostly just cried in my room last night.
