Sirens just went off in Israel, marking Memorial Day and encouraging people to think about all the soldiers that have given their life for this beautiful country. Everything stops. Grief settles over everything. I've been on edge all day from seeing the October 7th footage yesterday. Didn't sleep well. The hotel I'm staying in was the headquarters for Ben-Gurion and the IDF in 1948. It's hard to not feel a lot of history right now.
