If Israel released the footage of the October 7th film, what would happen is they would use it online to harass Jews. The most graphic footage of Jews being slaughtered you can imagine would be common place online something posted underneath pictures of families or utterly irrelevant comments. It is the right call to not make it public, but it’s also true. Israel is losing this information war very badly.

@BriannaWu I fear that even if it were distributed, ppl would claim it’s fake. It hasn’t been shared bc as you said, it’s traumatizing, but also bc as Jews we deeply respect the dead and their families and it’s being kept undistributed helps preserve their privacy in their grief.
