It’s not okay. Look there are compromises on bathroom policy possible. We’ve obviously got to end this nonsense that says you can just self ID into whatever bathroom you want. But if someone’s on a medical pathway and is legally transitioning with medical documentation? That’s a civil access issue. The problem with bathrooms is everyone has lost their mind. Trans women that don’t remotely pass feel entitled to go in there and make people uncomfortable. But the opposite political project, trying to eliminate trans woman from public life has also lost their mind. The goal here needs to be mutual respect and being non-disruptive. We had this figured out 10 years ago before ever everyone lost their goddamn mind.
