I entirely agree with this. Natal females transitioning to male detransition at rates much higher than people like me do. We need to have an honest discussion about it. Trans activists refuse to. It doesn’t help trans people to give teenage girls undergoing ordinary body discomfort testosterone and tell them it will solve all their problems. I think we got into this situation through a well meaning egalitarianism. If this healthcare works for trans women, it must work equally for men, right? But if you really study the pathology, it’s not the same phenomenon. I believe actual F2Ms are very rare.

There’s a lot of people speculating as to what I’m going to do or not do right now. I’m definitely moving away from trans activism. I find that there are many issues within the movement that nobody wants to address. A lot of problems are coming from within the house. For example, nobody seems to want to address the serious issue of young FTM detransition rates. This is an issue that must be contended with. We can’t just pretend it doesn’t exist like the problem is going to go away. Standards of medicalization changed, and I’m not sure it was for the better.
