Banning NYPD officers from marching in the Pride Parade is wrong. It discriminates against LGBTQ officers who serve our city with bravery and integrity. The ban on the New York’s finest should be reversed. The overwhelming majority of New Yorkers support the NYPD and demand both public safety and equality. It’s time to stop delegitimizing and politicizing policing in America’s largest city—once and for all.
