I've been getting some lovely newsletter reader emails today about Aaron Brown, CNN's voice on 9/11, who died in 2024. Here's one of them: "I was one of the many who relied upon CNN on that tragic and terrible day and afterward. Aaron Brown was an eloquent anchor, as well as an excellent reporter. On 9/11, he kept us up to date with what was known at the time, and later, as more facts unfolded, he put them into context. But he always focused on the facts: he never guessed or speculated or spread conspiracy theories. He was a voice of reason, and that was what we all needed. I miss him to this day. May he rest in peace, and may his family know that Aaron's contributions to journalism have not been forgotten."
